Wal-Mart Haul/1st Impression

I went shopping last week at Wal-Mart, where I usually don’t shop much, but I am glad that I did. They actually had a lot of stuff that my local CVS and Ulta did not have, so I was excited and bought some new stuff to try. I saw that they had the line “Flower Beauty” by Drew Barrymore and I just HAD to try it. I bought the stick foundation, roll on concealer and an eye liner. I also bought the Covergirl oh sugar! lip balms in 2 different shades and one of the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte glosses. Ill break it down by brand and let you know my thoughts on everything and will also post a picture of the swatches.

Flower Beauty:
Daily Brightening Under Eye Cover Creme in DB1– This claims to be high coverage and fast setting. I wouldn’t say this has high coverage, but it did set pretty fast. I like the applicator because it is a roller ball, which is cool to the touch, so it felt amazing when I was applying it to my under eye area. Now, this comes out a little patchy and you have to use a brush to really even it out, but when I was done, it looked fine. It also stayed in place for the majority of the day.

Foundation Stick– So this says that blemishes go incognito….NOT exactly true! I have combination, acne prone skin and always have at least a couple of blemishes. I also have redness on my chin and cheeks. This did not totally cover up my flaws. I still had to use some concealer and a setting powder to hide the blemishes and redness. The thing I really did like, though, was that it stayed matte and I did not have to touch up any spots, which is always a plus.

Forever Wear Liner in FW4 Emerald This is supposed to be long wearing and fade resistant. I really bought this to go on my water line, but it just would. NOT. work! It literally did not apply any color. I ended up just wearing it as a normal eye liner on top of some eye shadow and even then I was having to really layer it on so it could be seen. Not a fan of this one!!

Covergirl oh sugar! lip balms– I bought this is the colors Spice and Jelly. I absolutely love these. They are very moisturizing and the hint of color they give is perfect! They are vitamin infused balms, so they are supposed to be very good for your lips.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss in Nude Allude– I loved this color and the fact that it is supposed to be matte. Overall, I like this item, it just does not have much staying power. After I drank my coffee this morning, there were no signs of it ever being on my lips.
