A Makeup Review

I went shopping at Ulta last Friday to pick up a “few” things that I really didn’t need, but wanted to try out. I mean, I can’t really say that when I go shopping for items like these that I actually NEED them, and I know I am not the only one! I have been wanting to try out a new under eye concealer and I am always up for new lip products. I ended up buying the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in CW01 Porcelain and the L’Oreal Infallible 8 hr Lip Gloss in #815 Barely Nude. I hadn’t heard anything on the concealer but I have heard good reviews on the lip gloss. I don’t wear much makeup on the weekends unless I am going out somewhere, so I had to wait until today to put them to the test. Let me just say, I am 9 hours in and I am quite impressed with both. The concealer is very light weight, not thick or cakey….nobody likes cake face. It brightens up the under eye area, doesn’t wear away or crease, but I do always set my concealer with a yellow powder just to make sure it stays in place and doesn’t move around on my face. The gloss really does stay on for a long time. 8 hrs? Not exactly. I was able to feel the gloss itself on my lips all day, but the color wears away a little bit, if that makes any sense. The color I am wearing is pretty light as it is, but the gloss keeps my lips moisturized without drying them out. I am constantly drinking or eating something, so for the lip gloss to hold up for the length of time that it did, I couldn’t be happier! I would highly recommend both of these products!!

Hope you have a bad Ash day! 🙂
